Dr. Wagner received his medical degree from Ohio State University. He completed his General Surgery Internship & Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He also completed a Trauma & Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Henry Ford.
Dr. Wagner is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is the Chief, Department of Trauma & Surgical Critical Care at Hurley Medical Center. Dr. Wagner has received a number of awards for his teaching and research. He is currently a Clinical Instructor for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Department of Surgery.
Dr. Wagner is a bariatric surgeon for the Hurley Bariatric Center. As a bariatric surgeon, he brings his high level of surgical training and experience to his bariatric patients at Hurley.
Dr. Wagner is committed to the Hurley philosophy of “Touching Lives through Better Medicine” as he works closely with each of his patients to find new “life” with bariatric surgery. “Weight loss surgery is about change. I strive to make it safe, effective, and life-long.”
