Since 1999, the Hurley Bariatric Center has maintained its published record of low complication and mortality rates and has provided high quality care to over 4,000 bariatric patients across the state of Michigan. The Hurley Bariatric Center has been recognized as a Center of Excellence by six separate accrediting entities, including the American College of Surgeons.  With the Bariatric Center of Excellence designation comes an ongoing commitment by our medical staff to provide the best care possible for our weight loss patients.

Our board certified bariatric surgeons specialize in bariatric surgeries including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric band surgery.  Our surgeons are credentialed in critical care at a Level 1 trauma center. Thus, post-surgical patients have 24/7 access to emergency care from skilled bariatric surgeons and clinicians.
